This is a great mix of Carrara Venato 3×6″ Subway Tile on the wall (which is currently $7.00 a Square Foot) then Bianco Carrara Hexagon with Bardiglio edge for the flooring. They have then edged that with our 1×12″ Bardiglio Border and edged again with the 3×6″ Venato.

Same home following the look through they have used again the Bardiglio striped Bianco Honed 2″ Hexagon Mosaic.

All of this impossible task for big boxes or any other online retailer or Tile and Stone retailer as they just have 2-3 year old concept boards to work off.

For us. We keep it all close. Everything is here. So we can check it off, sign off, double check. Make sure the 3×6″ goes with the 6×12″ and the pencil that you plan to put in-between matches. We can do all this because our customers communicate and we are working with the product every day.

Just premium products warehoused with over 2.5m square feet in Alpharetta, GA. People ask “Why not add a warehouse on the West Coast”. We have been down this road before. The further the product gets from the people you speak to on the phone the less control they have over the quality and knowledge of what they are doing.

It is imperative (and other companies can find this out the hard way) that the person with whom you are speaking to about your order, can physically see and touch your order. Can mark the crate as “Sold belongs to Remodelers, Inc.”. That pictures can be traded.

Carrara Venato Collection (probably the whitest based Carrara in the world).  See this backsplash being created on Koko Likes Blog. Please note when you see the perfect shower or bathroom in a magazine and think “I want that” and you need 90/SF, do not order 90/SF. To get the perfect look people over order and do so significantly.  They throw tiles away, they pick through, they lay it out prior to install.  They create a picture a master piece.

You can see how white the subway tile honed has fewer veins on the tiles and some are actual blank tiles mixed in.  This is what creates a whiter appearance.  Blanks mixed in with the boxes is no accident.

Above is a picture of our subway 4×8” honed tile laid out in our warehouse (pic taken with just a cell phone) some tiles have veining and some are just blank.  This creates a whiter look and of course a superb white base helps 🙂

How to Tile a Backsplash – Part 1: Tile Setting

We were contacted by Pretty Handy Girl (PHG) and asked (after reviewing samples online from everyone else) if we would like our product the Venato 3×6″ Subway Tile Honed to be on her blog.  It would be part of a major post on “How to Tile a Backsplash”

We had no control over how she presented the blog or what she had to say about the product.  I (David) sent her some photo’s of the lot prior to shipment (we often do that), she said “great, let’s do it”.  So we shipped the order freight on a pallet (all pretty much standard stuff).  Brittany (the owner of PHG) produced two great video’s and said some really, really nice things.  So nice it sounds like we made her say those things (we did not – promise).

Personally I love the video’s of showing the installation.  Really, really helpful.  So Brittany from all our customers a big thank you! (Video’s below).

She used the Carrara Venato 3×6″ Honed.  It shows you the product, before, during and after installation.  Trying not to be biased but the Carrara Venato collection is a knock out.  It is just a tremendous product not only for the end user but for us as salespeople.  The block selectors overseas are incredible.  No where on earth can you get that Calacatta style white base but with nice gray veining.  Not overly veined just enough.  We actually select it this way.  This is no accident, we specify the amount of veined tiles versus non-veined. (I am saying veining way too much).

Premium Honed Venato 3×6 Subway Tile

A new shipment of Venato 3×6″ Honed Subway Tile arrived Sept 1st 2013.  Pictures taken in our warehouse with just an iPhone.

Once again our block selectors and purveyors of premium white marble have succeeded again.

Only the very whitest based tile fits into the Venato collection.

With new shipments arriving almost daily it amazes me (us that work in the warehouse) how our European colleagues have managed to keep the consistency of Venato Carrara so perfect.  Anyone with any experience in natural stone knows how much of a challenge it it to keep collections similar in base, texture and veining.  I think what sets us apart from the rest is actually having an operation and in Europe.  This allows us to respond faster, make better decisions and with the time difference not being an issue just better dialogue.

All this translates into this.  What we receive months later as perfect Carrara Venato Subway Tiles in 12×24″, 3×6″, 2×4″, and 6×12″.  We will continue to expand the range offering more variation in sizes allowing designers and enthusiastic home owners even more design options than ever before.
