The pictures are never professional quality, we know that. We take our pictures with an iPhone inside our warehouse. This is simply me walking around the warehouse lifting a lid of the crate and opening a box and taking a picture. A lot of companies would see this as crazy, I see how beautiful pictures are online and Television millions of dollars goes into making sure the look is exceptional. For our business we do not want to put that money into the marketing, this company operates a “no frills marketing strategy”. We want to sell the product to you at the lowest price for the highest quality and not have to build the marketing cost back into the product.
How many square feet are in one box. I know to order by the square foot but we want to order all the boxes as full boxes
Hi Bonita,
Each of the boxes you see has five sheets in it, making it 5 Square Feet.
It makes it easy to handle for the customer and for us.
Any questions please let us know.
Thank you
David
The Builder Depot.
I have had it just installed. Pls tell me how to care for it.
Hi Carole,
I would go to DuPont they have a StoneTech series of products.
The important thing is did your installer seal the marble? You can while it is not the same product watch Brittany test a sealer on Cement Tile it is 3 mins into the video. While it is Cement Tile the principle for marble is the same. If it is sealed well enough then water cannot penetrate if water cannot penetrate then nothing can ensuring water just runs of down the drain here is a link to the video (bottom of product page): https://www.thebuilderdepot.com/cemtavingtontile.html
If the product is sealed then you are no longer taking care of the product, you are taking care of the sealer. You want to follow the instructions on the sealer to ensure you do not remove it. The instructions of how to clean the marble and take care of it will be on the side of the sealer or the PDF that is online with DuPont.
Once you have sealed it then you have a barrier between the outside and the marble. Your plan is to use the room without removing the sealer. In high traffic wet areas: For example a shower pan. Then you would re-seal every couple of years. Based on your observations on the water. If it is no longer beading up on the marble that is an indication that it needs to be sealed again. It is not a long process with marble, not like Cement Tile. Cement Tile can require four coats. There is a cure time and you should be aware of that. Letting it set and not hopping in the shower right away is critical, you do not want to wash the sealer off on day one.
I hope that helps.
Any questions please let me know.
Thank you
David.
