Carrara Venato Polished Basketweave mosaic from The Builder Depot offers a look that has no competition.  It is second to none with it’s ridiculously perfectly white background color.  This new lot (and anticipated) arrived September 13th.    It looks really good, we can say no more – get a sample and see for yourself.

Premium Honed Venato 3×6 Subway Tile

A new shipment of Venato 3×6″ Honed Subway Tile arrived Sept 1st 2013.  Pictures taken in our warehouse with just an iPhone.

Once again our block selectors and purveyors of premium white marble have succeeded again.

Only the very whitest based tile fits into the Venato collection.

With new shipments arriving almost daily it amazes me (us that work in the warehouse) how our European colleagues have managed to keep the consistency of Venato Carrara so perfect.  Anyone with any experience in natural stone knows how much of a challenge it it to keep collections similar in base, texture and veining.  I think what sets us apart from the rest is actually having an operation and in Europe.  This allows us to respond faster, make better decisions and with the time difference not being an issue just better dialogue.

All this translates into this.  What we receive months later as perfect Carrara Venato Subway Tiles in 12×24″, 3×6″, 2×4″, and 6×12″.  We will continue to expand the range offering more variation in sizes allowing designers and enthusiastic home owners even more design options than ever before.

These pictures were just taken on a Thursday morning, opened a few boxes of 3×6″ Venato, laid them on the warehouse floor mat (before 7:30am and the sun was too bright) and took a few snaps with an iPhone.  No camera trickery – just simple pics we can then email to our list of contractors and designers.  Any interest in this particular lot please reference ‘C15 Sept 12’ when emailing sales@thebuilderdepot.com.

Incredible veining

Finally on Monday April 13th the Carrara Venato 12×24″ is back in stock.  However with this level of quality and veining it will not be in stock for long.  This is pretty much perfect Venato, the idea of the collection is a whiter base than traditional Carrara with some veining.  Not veining all over just occasional dribbles.  The overall look especially with the larger format tiles is a cleaner less busy appearance.  It looks a lot closer in appearance to a statuary.

We are often asked “if you know you are going to run out, why not buy more?”  A great question.  The problem is getting this level of quality.  We can easily order more Carrara, there is plenty of Carrara but not plenty that fits the standards for the Venato collection.  If we are willing to accept a grayer base, let’s call it “B” Grade then you can have all the Carrara you want.  But we are not.  For Venato we insist on a very high grade of Carrara (a premium white base) and I am afraid that limits the amount of marble we can get.

We are limited in supply by what the ground provides and the high standards we have set for a whiter base.

This special price for our glass subway tile, is for orders over 85/SF only.  This price does not include shipping.  The order again, must be over 85 square feet.  It is the shipping of volume that allows us to offer the lower price point.  The more you order past eighty five square feet the more you benefit over the current price that includes the shipping cost.
